Kevin and Shannon met at Klondike Kates at the University of Delaware during their senior year in 1998. They had been running into each other for a few weeks and then finally went on a date. They have been together ever since.
Shannon and Kevin were living together in Hoboken. On a random Thursday night in March, Shannon was just getting home from the gym when she walked into the apartment and there were roses and candles everywhere. She had no idea what was going on and then she saw Kevin. He approached her and asked her if she was busy for the next 60 or 70 years and then asked her to marry him. Of course, she said yes.
Their wedding was special because they really tried to make it a reflection of themselves. They decided to use a monogram theme, excited to be united as one, and displayed it everywhere they could. Having fun was their number one goal and they accomplished that. They danced all night and even got up with the band! Shannon surprised Kevin with a Washington Redskins groom's cake since he is a big fan. He loved it! At the end of the night, they had a Krispy Kreme employee hand out donuts to the guests as they left.
