1. A bridal registry helps you plan for your decorating and household needs as well as prevent you from receiving duplicate shower and wedding gifts.
2. It is a good idea to check your registry list periodically and keep it up to date with items you have received.
3. Keep up with the many thank-you notes you will need to write, rather than waiting until after the honeymoon.
4. Try not to register at more than three places; this not only confuses guests, but it is also hard for you to manage.
5. Try to have at least one national registry on your list for people that live out-of-state.
6. Include a range of gifts and prices to guests a variety to choose from.
7. Open delivered gifts as they arrive to check for damage from shipping. Return damage items in the same box with the same packing material to the store for replacement.
